Challenge
Component Dynamics's current and future services offered a wide range of directions we could go with their brand messaging. I was challenged to develop a logo and website that communicated all services without confusing the consumer.
This company is also in the process of expanding their services which challenged me to find ways to communicate Component Dynamic's current capabilities without false advertising.
The final challenge was to create materials for the users of Component Dynamic's current logistic's service. These users are located around the world therefore these materials had to be easy to understand with minimal language.
Solution
Logo
Component Dynamic's founding product and primary service is within the electronic component industry. With this in mind, we decided to create a logo that represented a circuit board with the letters "C" and "D" which could also be interpreted as a product arriving to it's destination on a map.
Web Design
Once the branding and logo was decided. Our strategy for web design became clearer. I developed icons used throughout the website that communicated Component Dynamic's branding as well as representing the service.
We also kept the descriptions of the company as well as the services offered as clear and concise as possible to allow users to find the necessary information quickly and easily.
Communication Materials
My goal with developing the communication materials for the logistics service was to ensure that the user understood their task no matter what language they spoke.
Clear graphic visuals, combined with simple english has resulted in a 90% success rate of products returned from users of this service.

COMMUNICATION MATERIALS
Component Dynamics's logistics services requires users to return defective automotive products. This service is used by workers at dealerships that speak a variety of languages. Utilizing clear graphics and using simple english, I developed an insert included in Component Dynamics outgoing shipments that explain to the user exactly what to do with their product.
