MJ Staffing Solutions is a staffing agency out of Danbury, Connecticut connecting employers to the right staff across a variety of industries. The owner and founder of MJ Staffing Services passed away in 2016. Shortly after his passing, his family took on the responsibility of the company and decided it was time to support the business with a rebranding effort.

Challenge
The owner's family wanted to be sure to pay tribute to the founding father by including his iconic hat along with his initials. A scally cap was harder to depict within the logo than I had originally originally thought. To keep the modern look of the logo, I had to keep details of the hat as minimal as possible.
Solution
Finding a way to depict the hat simply without distracting from the purpose of the logo was difficult. After many many drafts regarding the hat and logo type, we arrived at this modern lockup featuring a hat on the J. The logo will remain in Black and White, but other colors on the website will include shades of dark blue.
